EuroLite Hallmark & HVHZ Certifications

The National Fenestration Rating Council logo

NAFS stands for North American Fenestration Standard. Through laboratory testing, fenestration is given one of four Performance Classes, which specify the likely target application from single-family residential to high-rise commercial buildings. A Performance Grade, a number from 15 to 40, is also given which specifies the maximum Design Pressure (DP) as well as water and air resistance pressure that the fenestration can withstand.
The North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) “LC” rating certifies that doors and windows are suitable for all residential installations in the USA and Canada as well as commercial installations up to three stories.
High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) certification ensures fenestration can be installed in specific coastal hurricane and wind-borne debris zones.
All Eurolite doors and windows have NFRC certification - the highest certification requirements in the world. We also have the famous 'Energy Star' rating that qualifies homes for local, state and federal rebates and other financial incentives.

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Energy Star rating ensures that doors and windows meet the highest energy efficiency standards. The NFRC certifies the U-Factor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), Visible Light Transmittance (VT) and Air Leakage. EuroLite doors and windows can achieve the lowest U-Factor of any steel and glass fenestration products - as low as 0.18.
